When someone comments to request a resource, the first job of automation is to deliver that resource accurately—not to treat the comment as unlimited marketing permission. This guide describes a proposed workflow, not a reported live campaign.

Start with one specific request
Imagine a creator offering a free checklist about choosing a booking system. A post clearly says that commenting a particular word requests the checklist. Write a short DM that delivers the resource and identifies who is sending it. Do not bundle unrelated promotional messages into the original request.
Manychat’s official Instagram page describes comment replies, DMs, links and lead collection. Which triggers and limits are available for your account should be checked in the live product and platform rules.
Map the conversation as a small decision tree
| Visitor action | Proposed response | Human boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Requests the checklist | Deliver the link requested | No unrequested sales pitch |
| Asks how it works | Provide concise verified information | Hand off uncertain claims |
| Asks for pricing or advice | Link to accurate product information | Do not invent prices or promise results |
| Asks for a person | Route to a staffed inbox if available | Clear response ownership |
| Opts out | Stop relevant follow-up | Record suppression appropriately |
Test failure states before promoting the post
Send one request from an authorized test account and confirm the right link arrives. Check what happens when the keyword is misspelled, the person has already received the resource, the link is broken or the user sends a question the flow cannot answer. Review all automated wording for platform rules and actual consent.
Keep the link destination aligned with the post promise. An optional related offer should be genuinely relevant and transparently labeled.
Measure qualified action instead of DM volume
Track resource requests, successful deliveries, meaningful replies and any separately consented appointments or purchases. Avoid claiming every message is a lead or attributing a purchase solely to a comment. Review complaints and opt-outs as quality signals rather than hiding them.
If your problem is cross-platform publishing rather than DM conversations, the Hypefury scheduling guide addresses a different part of the creator workflow.
